Lesia Chytra (Book) self-published her first novel, Tarnished, in 2015. In the summer of 2017, she was awarded the Kobzar Scholarship at the Summer Workshop: Humber College School for Writers. She also completed the Post-Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing at Humber College, working with mentor Joseph Kertes. Her second novel, on which Breaking Bread is based, is in the final revision process. Lesia Chytra was born and raised in St Catharines, Ontario before moving to Toronto to pursue a career in education. She was active in the Ukrainian community while growing up, participating in Ukrainian scouting, dancing, language studies and folk cultural events.
Myron Genyk (Music & Lyrics) grew up learning classical piano and guitar, singing in choirs, writings songs, and has performed at a wide range of venues. He recently completed the MASSIVE (Musical Applied to Stage, Screen and Interactive Visual Environments) program at Sheridan College. He was also a participant in the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective’s Writers Workshop under the tutelage of Canadian music theatre legend Leslie Arden, where he further developed his songwriting skills. Myron has written and produced music for three short films. Breaking Bread is Myron’s first full-length musical.

Christina Kozak (Director) is a multi-disciplinary artist and a graduate of the Theatre Department at Ottawa University. She has acted, directed, and produced many works including performance and installation art. She recently stage managed The Ward Cabaret which was part of Toronto’s Luminato Festival. She has worked with various Theatre Companies and Festivals including, Ottawa and Toronto Fringe Festival, Bramptons A.C.T productions, Vision Theatre, Actors Repertory Theatre, Factory Theatre, Toronto Film Festival, Toronto Jewish Film Festival, University of Toronto Theatre department, as well as Soulpepper Theatre.
Sean Mayes (Music Director), originally from Canada, is currently a New York based musical director active both in New York City & Toronto, with a background in London & the United Kingdom. In New York City, Sean is a Music Director and Teaching Artist with Disney Theatrical Group, the New York Pops, and New York City Center, as well as Music Director of the Fourth Universalist Society of New York. As an orchestrator and arranger, his work has been played for notable figures such as Yoko Ono, Gloria Steinem, and has been heard in concert venues such as Toronto’s Roy Thompson Symphony Hall. Past work includes time with the UK Tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, as well as work alongside the authors of the recent West End musical LOSERVILLE in creation of a one-hour adaptation.
Larissa Szachrajuk (Choreographer) trained at the Ontario School of Ballet, The Etobicoke School of the Arts, and is also a graduate of York University. Since 2001, Larissa has been a soloist for the Arkan Dance Company, and has traveled with them to Florida, Nova Scotia, Quebec, China, Mexico, Turkey, Italy and South Korea. She has also been a featured soloist in Arkan Dance Company’s “Dance of Gold” (2001), “Dance of the Light” (2008), and “Glory to Christianity” (2014). Larissa has directed tours to Florida (2007, 2013, 2014, 2017), Italy (2009) Boston and New York (2015) and Indonesia (2016), and is planning a tour in Ukraine (2019). Larissa has choreographed pieces for Arkan Dance Company (including with National Artist of Ukraine, Rafail Malinowsky), The Ukrainian Academy of Dance, Stefura Dance Studios as well as various school and community programs. Larissa spent 3 weeks this past summer at a Poltavsky dance workshop, studying with 5 different companies including the renowned, Virsky Dance Ensemble.
